Amanda Henderson is a Licensed School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who provides a compassionate, Christ-centered space for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, emotional challenges, grief, broken family systems, trauma, executive function struggles and/or relational distress.

Amanda Henderson is a Licensed School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who provides a compassionate, Christ-centered space for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, emotional challenges, grief, broken family systems, trauma, executive function struggles and/or relational distress.

In addition to her clinical work, Amanda serves as a school counselor at Prestonwood Christian Academy. Her experience working within a school setting allows her to thoughtfully support students and families as they manage academic pressures, performance anxiety, peer dynamics, social-emotional development, and identity in Christ. She understands firsthand the unique stressors today’s children, teens, and young adults face.

Amanda offers neurofeedback training and executive function coaching for improved focus, emotional resilience, and stress management techniques.  She is trauma-informed and able to integrate various approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. Her collaborative style empowers children, teens, families and young adults.

Amanda utilizes child-centered play therapy techniques for her youngest clientele. Young children learn first to communicate thoughts and feelings through play. For pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults, therapeutic methods range and vary depending on the counseling goals and the client's life stage.

Amanda considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients and is committed to providing Christ-centered, compassionate, developmentally informed care.
